The current Cory site at nightThere are concerns that light pollution can cause harm to both humans and the natural environment.  The current Cory incinerator at Belvedere runs 24 hours a day as can be seen in the photo.  A second waste incinerator at the site may add further light pollution.  Experts believe this is a particular concern for some of the species on the adjacent Crossness Local Nature Reserve.
